The complaint by the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission cited statements Rokita made on Fox News in July 2022 about Dr. Caitlin Bernard in a case that became a flashpoint in the debate over abortion access. The Indiana Supreme Court is also the ultimate arbiter for any attorneys charged with misconduct by the commission. The commission said those comments violated rules barring lawyers from making public statements with a substantial likelihood of "materially prejudicing" a case. Bernard has said the Ohio child was referred to her three days after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the 1973 case that guaranteed federal abortion rights. A lawyer for Bernard said she had no comment on the disciplinary case against Rokita.

It’s no accident that two prime-time hosts on Fox (Jesse Watters and Greg Gutfeld) cut their teeth doing comedy, of sorts. Part of the reason Gillis is such a phenomenon is clearly political. (The title of the special is a Trump quote.) The Spectator called his success a major turning point in the resurgence of comedy. He compares the pull of it to that of a person turning into a werewolf.

The influential Fox News lineup, which debuts Monday night, is made up of Trump mouthpieces — personalities who have willfully spread propaganda and misinformation on behalf of Trump during his years in the White House. With the surprise firing of Tucker Carlson from the 8pm perch this spring, Murdoch had the opportunity to reshape Fox News prime time. Winding back the Republican Party to a previous era may be impossible, even for Murdoch. Even if Youngkin did enter the race, Murdoch surely knows that his odds of dethroning Trump would be slim. Which may explain his decision to go with a prime time lineup that has reliably championed Trump.

CNN —Fox News will pay $12 million to settle a pair of major lawsuits brought by former producer Abby Grossberg, her lawyer said Friday. The settlement marks the fourth case Fox and its owners have put to an end this year, including the blockbuster Dominion defamation case, where the network paid out a whopping $787 million. In addition to the Dominion saga, Grossberg claimed that she suffered through a treacherous onslaught of workplace sexism and rampant misogyny. According to the lawsuits, Grossberg witnessed flagrant use of the C-word, male colleagues openly debating which female politicians were “more f–kable,” and was asked uncomfortable sexual questions. Fox News aggressively rebutted these claims while Grossberg’s lawsuits were pending.

CNN —On a Friday morning in April, Fox News talk host Jesse Watters walked onstage to a room stuffed with hundreds of insurance executives and agents. Watters — who Fox News this week promoted to the all-important 8pm hour — began his interview with Rusbuldt at the Renaissance Washington hotel as expected. “It was an epic meltdown afterward,” one of the people familiar with the matter told me. “The organization went into damage control.”The chat between Watters and Rusbuldt, which continued on after the appalling remark, had immediate consequences. When asked for comment on Wednesday, a Fox News spokesperson told me that Watters had “no recollection” of the events.

June 26 (Reuters) - Fox News said on Monday that network veteran Jesse Watters would be the host of a key prime-time slot left vacant by the exit of top-rated host Tucker Carlson. Watters will move to the 8 p.m. slot, starting July 17, with his opinion program "Jesse Watters Primetime", which was launched last year as a 7 p.m. show, Fox News said. Donald Trump accused Kayleigh McEnany of citing the "wrong" poll numbers on Fox News. McEnany was an ardent Trump loyalist, and served as White House press secretary for much of 2020. In a post on Truth Social page, Trump accused McEnany of citing the "wrong" poll numbers on Fox News and suggested that she was a "RINO," or "Republican in name only." "Kayleigh 'Milktoast' McEnany just gave out the wrong poll numbers on FoxNews," Trump wrote. An Emerson College poll released last Thursday said Trump had a 42 point lead over his rivals in Iowa.

Gaetz spoke out against Fox News and accused two of its hosts of over-sexualizing Ocasio-Cortez. Both congressional lawmakers formed an unlikely team-up on Tuesday to introduce a new bill. "AOC is wrong a lot, she'd probably say the same thing about me, but she's not corrupt," Gaetz told Fox News host Jesse Watters on Tuesday. They and several other congressional leaders warned that congressional trading erodes trust in the government and presents conflicts of interest. Gaetz told Watters on Tuesday that Congress should "disallow congressional stock trading for the same reason we don't allow the referee to bet on the game." Representatives for Gaetz, Ocasio-Cortez, and Frankel did not immediately respond to Insider's requests for comment sent outside regular business hours.

Republicans generally support banning TikTok, but they're beginning to disagree on how. Sen. Rand Paul has also come out against a TikTok ban, blocking a bill from Sen. Josh Hawley. But even among Republicans who favor a TikTok ban, there are growing concerns about the RESTRICT Act — arguably the most prominent proposal put forward to deal with the issue. "So, I think we should ban TikTok. "It's worse than banning TikTok, because it can be applied to lots of other companies," said Paul.

Ron DeSantis in the coming weeks. Axios obtained Trump's 5-point plan which includes shaming DeSantis for his likeability and disloyalty. Trump also reportedly plans to castigate DeSantis for his likeability and for being disloyal to Trump after the former president supported his 2018 gubernatorial candidacy. "There's a pre-Trump Ron and there's a post-Trump Ron," a Trump ally told Axios of DeSantis. Despite his carefully-laid plans, Trump continues to publicly posture as being unbothered by DeSantis' rising star, all the while, launching semi-regular, rage-filled Truth Social rants targeting his likely opponent.
